At important milestones in your project, it is worth not only examining whether your project is on track, but also what you have learned and how it can help you to do better (formative evaluation). You can improve your effectiveness when you know why things work or fail and what you have learned (see Background: Learning: know-how (single-loop learning) and know-why (double-loop learning).
Get together with your colleagues and reflect on your progress regularly. It is helpful to have your original list of success criterion and indicators at hand. The below checklist helps you to structure your mid-project evaluations.
